BSY's 'faith' in CBI comes as a surprise to HDK

“It is surprising that the chief minister who opposed CBI inquiry into illegal mining is now talking of ordering one against Revanna.

How come he developed such faith in the institution so suddenly?” the state JD(S) chief questioned at a press meet here on Sunday.

While advertisements were being published claiming total ban on iron ore export, the Lokyukta has exposed through the media that illegal ore transport was continuing unabated, he said and wanted to know the reason for Yeddyurappa’s silence on illegal mining at this juncture.

Clarifying that he was not against Veerashaivas as being projected by a few, Kumaraswamy said he had nothing personal against Yeddyurappa.

“As a leader of a responsible Opposition, I am only exposing the illegal acts of Yeddyurappa,” he said.

Refuting the allegations of allotting land to film actor Radhika while he was chief minister, Kumaraswamy said it was not wise to tarnish the image by levelling baseless charges. He sought evidences to substantiate the allegation.
