The arrested Bindu (26) hails from Mattattur village in Trishur district, Kerala. She is a resident of Yelahanka. Bindu’s husband Mohan Kumar was also arrested on charges of theft and murder, recently.
The couple would offer biscuits or sweets laced with sedatives to people, and later rob them when they fell unconscious.
Bindu also had a different style of functioning. She would befriend real estate brokers to collect details of people who take houses on rent. Later, she would visit the tenants along with her child.
She would offer them sweets smeared with sedatives on the pretext of her child’s birthday. She would wait till the victims fell unconscious and then rob them.
