JOIN USSrinivas alias Seena, Mehboob, Michael, Manjunath, Ambarish, all 21, Anniyappa (24), Parthiban (20), Jagannath (22), Manjunath alias Lambu Manja (19), Murugan (23) and Raj (22), all residents of Ragigudda slum in J P Nagar 2nd Phase were arrested on Monday for the alleged murder of Deva and Srinivas alias Bheema last month.
According to police, Deva and Bheema had allegedly demanded Anniyappa to foot the bill for their drinks at a bar or to give them Rs 500. The duo succeeded in bullying Anniyappa to part with the money. Srinivas alias Seena got a wind of this and found out that they had snatched money from Anniyappa on earlier occasions too. All the suspects assembled together and went in search of the duo.
Seena’s associate Mani spotted Deva at Jayanagar 9th Block and asked him about Anniyappa’s whereabouts. In the fight that ensued Deva and Bheema stabbed Mani and fled. In retaliation, Seena and his aides chased the duo and hacked them to death, the police said.
Man robbed
Three unidentified persons, who offered a lift to a man, robbed the latter of his ATM card and other valuables near Mailasandra Cross on Monday night.
According to the complaint lodged by Vinay Babu with CK Achukattu police, he and his friend were waiting for a bus when three men in a car offered them a lift. Vinay’s friend Kiran alighted near Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Vinay continued the journey up to Kengeri New Town. On the way, he was robbed of his ATM card, two chains, a bracelet, two rings and Rs 500 cash.
