“To partially off-set the rising input costs, we have increased prices of our models in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 1,500,” Hero Honda’s spokesperson said.
The lowest hike has been on models in the entry segment while Karizma and ZMR have the highest hike of Rs 1,500. The data by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers on Wednesday has put motorcycle sales for the month of November 2010 at 7,10,182 units, which is an increase of 15.61 per cent from 6,14,274 units in the same month last year. Total two-wheeler sales in November increased by 17.68 per cent to 9,30,370 units from 7,90,613 units in November 2009.
