Speaking to mediapersons in the City on Sunday, he said tickets would be offered to the party loyalists and candidates with the potential to win.
The result of the local body elections is not a referendum on the performance of the State Government, he said.
Quizzed on the possible impact of allegations of land scams against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his Cabinet colleagues on the local body elections, he said similar allegations were levelled by the JD(S) and the Congress leaders against the BJP earlier, but the party had managed to win elections to co-operative institutions, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, the Gram Panchayat and by-elections to the State Legislative Assembly.
