Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore, the chief minister said campaigning for the elections was in full swing.

“People are extending their support and I am sure that the party would emerge victorious across the State,” he said.

Yeddyurappa added that all party legislators and leaders were touring their respective constituencies and he would take part in the campaign. The BJP’s poll manifesto will be released in a couple of days.

Earlier in the day, Yeddyurappa received blessings from religious leaders of the Shwetambara sect of Jains. He spoke about how he had championed for the anti-cow slaughter Bill and established Sanskrit University in the State.

“I have gone through a lot of ‘agni parikshe’ and survived the test owing to the blessings of people, seers and the party high command. I am ready to face many more tests,” he said.
