FESTIVE FERVOUR

The City got a taste of the joyous season with the Grand Xmas Bazaar, which was held at the Taj West End, recently. Full of colourful stalls, the bazaar celebrated the Christmas spirit in all its fervour and was visited by people from all over the City. They spent the day eating, drinking and shopping.

One had a lot to choose from, be it jewellery, clothes or shoes. The jewellery stalls had earrings, natural stone jewellery, ethnic silver jewellery — all at a very reasonable price. The stalls also had high-end luxury products like designer wear, clothes, shoes of all kinds and they were definitely different from the regular stuff.

Nail art, massage and other beauty services were also available at the bazaar.  The stalls that really caught the attention of the crowd included My Sunny Balcony, which was selling plants and flowers for houses; the ‘i’ project which showed the visitors what colours looked good on them and the coffee-cup reader, who used her mystical powers to read the future through coffee beans.

The kids also were kept occupied at a separate section which had interesting activities and items like decorated candles, hand tattoo and activity corner. An air-filled bouncing castle also received a lot of attention as kids frolicked and jumped around on it. The entertainment stalls, along with a dazzling Christmas tree, the games and the Santa distributing candies and gifts to the kids created the perfect festive mood.

Food was a major attraction at the bazaar and one of the interesting things available was the Christmas hampers with cakes, chocolates and many other goodies. People treated themselves to rich plum cakes and soaked in the fun, food and festivities of the season. The food court served traditional Christmas fare, Asian food, fried fish, salads and a lot more to keep the hunger pangs away. And to top it, all a terrific live band churned out some fantastic numbers to keep everyone entertained.
