The film is being made in six languages and the actress is all excited to talk about the film, which is awaiting release.

Directed by Spencer Mathew, the film is being made in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. “It does not mean that we shoot the film in one language and dub it in other languages later. Actually, we are shooting each scene six times, like how Ram Gopal Varma did with Raavan,” she says.

The direction, production, music composition and screenplay are by Spencer Mathew. The story is that of a village girl who wants to become a successful model. “She is an orphan who migrates to the city to pursue her long cherished dream. Sweet Poison is about the struggle she undergoes and the situations she has to face,” Meghana reveals.

Girish Karnad has a prominent role in the film. “Karnad sir’ plays the role of my principal. He is the person who gets her out of her bad habits and the film is all about the relationship between the girl and her principal,”  she says.

Meghana appears to be on cloud nine as the film has no male protagonist and therefore she has a lot of screen space and prominence. “It is a kind of art film being dealt with commercially. The film also has Rajesh and Umesh in the cast along with some newcomers.

Shreya Ghoshal has crooned a song for me. I am waiting for the film’s release and keeping my fingers crossed,” says Meghana who has signed no other projects so as to involve herself completely in ‘Sweet Poison’.

“This is the most challenging role I have done so far. I always dreamt of doing a character similar to what Sridevi had done in ‘Chaalbaaz’. I wish the coming year will fulfill all my dreams,” she says.
