Vasudev rallies to enter final

Vasudev lost the first set 2-6 before winning the next two 7-6, 7-6 to set up a clash with B Samyukht, who defeated S Karthik 6-4, 6-3 in the other semifinal. In the girls’ under-16 section, Anna C Nelson entered the final, defeating Gopika Madhu 6-1, 6-2. She will play Tanya Singh for the title, after the latter ousted Preethi B 6-2, 6-2.

Girls’ U-16: Anna C Nelson bt Gopika Madhu 6-1, 6-2; Tanya Singh bt Preethi B 6-2, 6-2. U-14: Shivani M bt Preethi B 6-3, 7-5; Shikha N Singh beat Dhwani Kumar 6-2, 6-4.
