According to the villagers, the total number of electorates in the village are 280. During the Zilla Panchyat elections in 2000, polling booth was set up at K Chadumanahalli Mayagatti and in 2005 ZP polls, it was opened at Mallakachanahalli.

But for the present election, booth has been shifted to Bommasandra, which is 10 km away from the village, observed the residents. “It has caused inconvenience for us,” they said in a memorandum submitted to tahsildar on Thursday.

Nominee rejected

Of the total 53 nomination papers filed for the Zilla Panchayat election in Mulbagal, a lone nomination paper of Tayalur constituency candidate Abrar Pasha has been rejected after scrutinisation of nomination papers on Thursday.

All the 117 nomination papers in the taluk panchayat have been accepted.
