Last Updated 16 December 2010, 18:27 IST

“Let Belur Gopalakrishna disclose the name of the party he will support in the local body election,” State BJP spokesperson and MP Ayanur Manjunath told a press conference here on Thursday.

“The BJP has disqualified Belur Gopalakrishna and is no more a member of the party. After these stern actions, Belur was expected to sever ties with the BJP. On the contrary, he still claims to be with the party which shows his immaturity,” he stated.

Ex-minister joins JD(S)

Former minister K Srinivas Gowda and his supporters officially joined the JD(S) on Thursday.

Gowda said his two-and-a-half year long exile from his native district of Kolar, which had begun after joining the Congress, had ended. He advised his supporters to totally disregard the Congress. “I do not wish anyone suffers like I did,” he added.
