<p>Strict action should be taken by the authorities concerned, Dr K N Chandramohan, president of the district unit of the Karnataka Government Medical Officers Association said.<br /><br />The members of the Association submitted memoranda to Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police to provide security to the doctors and medical staff here, on Friday.<br />The members alleged that doctors and staff were also being attacked in government hospitals at Gudibande, Bagepalli and Shidlaghatta. <br /><br />The doctors and the medial staff who discharge their duties amidst work and time pressure have unnecessarily come under attack from public, the members said.<br /><br />The doctors and staff are now constantly working are under fear. The attacks on doctors and medical staff by people without a valid reason should be considered non-bailable offence and strict action should be taken, Chandramohan added.<br /><br />Office-bearers of the Association Dr Anil Kumar, Dr R Choudappa, Dr Ramesh and others were present on the occasion.<br /></p>
