Last week, the Ministry had accepted the scam-hit Society's request for an inspection of the originals of some letters/minutes and other documents referred to in the notice issued to it.

The Ministry had set December 20 for inspecting the documents in the office of Scientist Bharat Bhushan at Paryavaran Bhawan here.

"Inspection is completed," said an Adarsh Society official and added professionals of the law firm of leading advocate Satish L Maneshinde, who had received the ministry notice for Adarsh Housing Society, "inspected all the original documents."

He, however, declined to give any details.

The inspection was allowed even as the Ministry waits for the Society's reply to the show cause notice issued to it by December 24.

The Ministry, in its show cause notice, has asked to the Society why its 31-storey building at Colaba in Mumbai should not be demolished for allegedly violating green laws.

The Ministry has also granted it an opportunity to present the case in person before the ministry on December 28 if it so wants.
