Hemanth's unbeaten ton goes in vain

Resuming from their overnight score of 99 for five, in response to City XI’s 243 all out, Mysore rode on Hemanth’s unbeaten 104 and appeared to make a fist of the target on the second and final day. But with wickets falling regularly at the other end they could add only 111 runs more before getting bowled out for 210 in 70 overs. Bangalore City XI made 147 for six in the possible 44 overs in their second essay. Ankit Mishra made a fifty for City XI while Guruprasad grabbed five wickets for Mysore in an innings with only academic interest.

The stars for City XI were Rahul Christon Pinto, R Bharath and Shivil SK. The trio shared the spoils among them with Pinto and Shivil grabbing three wickets apiece while Bharath chipped in with two.

President’s XI: 244 all out in 64.1 overs and 137 all out in 43.5 overs (Shrijith KL 26, Varun Ballu 26; Chandrakanth 6-26, Raghavendra N 3-20) drew Raichur Zone: 153 all out in 45 overs (Raghavendra 31, Vyshak Vijay Kumar 4-47, Pruthvi 2-36, Tejas Gowda 4-37) and 80/4 in 22 overs (Chandrakanth 45, Pruthvi 2-14).

Mukesh grabs four

Mukesh grabbed four for 35 to fashion a 20-run win for KHS Adarsh High School over Ryan International School in the BT Ramaiah shield under-14 knock-out (first phase) tournament.
