Medvedev spent about half-an-hour at Yash Raj studio at Andheri in north west Mumbai, and eagerly watched the shooting of a Shah Rukh Khan starrer that was in progress.
During his interaction with Bollywood personalities, Medvedev talked about cooperation between Indian and Russian film makers and urged them to create new joint film projects.
Russia was once the major overseas market for Bollywood films during the height of the Cold War, when Hollywood films were not allowed in the former Communist nation.
