Police found him wandering suspiciously with two suitcases in his hands near the bus stand. Machado confessed to police during the interrogation that he was trying to sell a box with 50 bundles of black paper pieces, duping it as a dollar-making machine. He was planning to cheat people by saying that the black papers in the box will turn into Americal dollars, once it was dipped in a chemical solution. South Police Sub Inspector K K Ramakrishna told Deccan Herald that a case has been registered.
Killed in mishap
A motorcycle rider was killed on the spot after an unidentified vehicle knocked him down in Bantwal police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Prithesh, who sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
