JOIN USSpeaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Gowda said that BJP will win the election based on the developmental activities it has carried out in the State in its two and half years of tenure. “The government has already fulfilled 60 per cent of the assurances which was made in the election manifesto two and half years back. Winning ZP, TP elections is necessary for the BJP government for bringing comprehensive development in the State,” he said.
Informing about the allotment of special powers to Taluk Panchayats, he said that the State government has decided to allocate more power to Taluk Panchayats after the elections. BJP has declared in its manifesto of allotting special powers to Taluk Panchayats. An annual grant of Rs 2 crore will be given to all the Taluk Panchayats in the State for the developmental activities, he said.
Criticisng the Congress Party for involving in malicious campaign against the BJP, he said, “malicious campaign has been the style of Congress party’s campaign in this election. Before accusing BJP, the Congress must understand the difference between allegations and scams. Whatever misappropriations that Congress has been involved in are scams, while as for as the allegations on BJP are mere allegations and not scams,” he defended.
