Addressing reporters, he said people have a right to know on which aspects the Commission wants the CBI assistance and why. If the CBI assistance is necessary, then the Commission should have written to the Government that it is not capable of conducting the probe and recommended handing over of the entire issue to the CBI, he argued.
Kumaraswamy alleged that Justice Padmaraj does not have moral right to probe into the land scam as his name figures in the A T Ramaswamy committee report on encroachment of government land in Bangalore urban district.
The former chief minister termed the Appachu Ranjan committee report that recommended disqualification of 15 MLAs of Opposition parties, as murder of democracy. “The government is misusing the Legislature to terrorise Opposition parties,” he alleged.
