ISEC launches talent search

The top 25 students will be given scholarship for three consecutive years of undergraduate study. ISEC Director R S Deshpande said the main purpose of the scheme was to identify talented students in social sciences across the State. Students with a potential in understanding society, polity, economy and diversity of socio-cultural history of India will be preferred. Besides scholarship, selected students would also be eligible to attend professional training at the ISEC campus once a year.

However, in the initial years, the scheme would cover students under the jurisdiction of Bangalore University. The examination will be held at select  centres across Bangalore. 

Application forms are available on ISEC website www.isec.ac.in. Students appearing for examination have to pay Rs 30 in the name of the Registrar, ISEC, Bangalore, either in the form of a postal order or in cash. The filled-in application forms should reach the registrar, ISEC before January 25, 2011.
