Guv-Govt spat delays Metro test run

The BMRCL had announced  last week that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the test run and also conduct a joint inspection of the train, along with Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath. However, on Saturday, BMRCL, issued a statement that the joint inspection and the inaugural test run scheduled on January 24, stood postponed.

The testing of the Metro systems for commencement of commercial operations will proceed on schedule.

Although BMRCL did not cite any reason, it seemed obvious that Governor H R Bhardwaj allowing Yeddyurappa’s prosecution in corruption cases could be the cause.
