Speaking to media on the sidelines of 175th anniversary celebration of Maharaja’s Junior College here, Siddaramaiah rebuked a point in the report submitted to the government giving clean chit to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS). The Commission has completely failed to crack down on the forces behind the attacks, he said.

“The Commission in its interim report had confirmed the handiwork of RSS and its outfits behind the incidents. It’s vice-versa in the final report”, said Siddaramaiah.

The Justice Jagannath Shetty Commission that was formed to probe into the farmers death in Haveri golibar had also ruled out the involvement of RSS in its findings. And, now it is the commission on church attacks that has given clean chit. Due to these, people’s faith in commissions has lessened.

Participating in the release of a book ‘Mysore Wadiyars and Karntaka’s Culture’ brought out on the occasion of 175 years for the institute, Legislative Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy lamented that though the country attained freedom six decades ago, still there is  a talk on modules to educate the kids. By contrast, Wadiyar’s of Mysore have to be lauded for establishing the institute then to provide education.
