Metro to have more trial runs

BMRCL spokesperson B L Y Chavan told Deccan Herald on Sunday that various aspects of the train were being tested.

Certification

The train has to run for a minimum of 2,500 km to obtain certification from the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS). Now, the objective is to obtain this preliminary status which will enable the commercial operations of Namma Metro by Ugadi. Besides, BMRCL will have to complete the inspection of the track on Reach-1 (Byappanahalli-MG Road) of the phase-1 before calling in the CRS for inspection.
