The press conference was delayed by an hour as Shivarajkumar and wife Geetha had to return from a marriage function in Cochin.

However, the actor apologised for the delay. “On February 19, I would be completing 25 years in Sandalwood. It is also a time to honour and felicitate all those who supported me  till my 100th film,” he said.

He said that his journey from Anand to Jogaiah has been a learning experience and many people are responsible for taking him this far.

“I learnt a lot from Appaji (Dr Rajkumar). I improved my acting skills according to the directors’ suggestions and corrected my dialogue delivery, thanks to the
comments by the media. There are many people who have helped in moulding me into an artiste,” he said.

“In order to commemorate the occasion, we have chalked out a mega event on March 2 at the Palace Grounds, where in the entire Sandalwood industry will be taking part.

Upendra, Vijay, Diganth, Yogish and others will be shaking a leg with me,” he informed.
He added that V Ravichandran, Jaggesh and Ramesh Aravind, who also have completed 25 years in the industry, will be honoured.

Shivarajkumar also said it was also time to thank the artistes, producers, music directors, choreographers, technicians and others who have supported him in the film industry.
“We are holding another programme on March 5 at Palace Grounds to felicitate those who supported me all the way throughout my career,” he said.

While speaking about Jogaiah, he said that the film is richer than Jogi in all aspects.
Prem, the director of Jogaiah, said that the audio of the film will be released symbolically on February 19, but the grand function will be held on March 2.

The film will have a special 3D song which will be one of the highlights of the film. The song, yet to be picturised, will be shot in Bangalore with technicians from the US.

“The team of Jogaiah will be joining hands with Shivanna to make his completion of 25 years in the industry memorable. There will be song bits from each of his movie and the
actors and actresses will perform to those songs.

Four choreographers are working on it and it will be a wonderful event,” he claimed.He also said that apart from celebrities from the Kannada film industry, the event is likely to see the presence of celebrities from other film industries.

 “As of now, we are thinking of Kamal Hassan as the chief guest,” he disclosed. Rakshita, the producer of the film was also present at the press meet.
