Rs 28 lakh cash stolen from firm

Matthew, the manager of the firm, in his complaint stated that Rs 28 lakh in cash kept in a safe on the ground floor of the office on Sunday, was found missing the next morning.
Forensic experts and a dog squad were pressed into action. Police suspect the crime to be the handiwork of some insiders.

In a similar incident, Agni Motors at Hanumanth Nagar in Jnanabharti area complained to the police that around three kg of copper had been stolen from their factory premises. The window grills of the factory building were found cut open.

A 24-year-old homemaker hanged herself from a ceiling fan hook at her Sreenivas Nagar residence in Kamakshipalya on Monday.  Saroja was suffering from stomach ailment, said the police.
