'Fill up vacant posts'

 Federation National General Secretary Shivagopal Mishra, who was in the City to attend the fifth anniversary of the SWR Railway Mazdoor Union, told reporters that there was sufficient budgetary allocation to settle the dues, but the Railway Ministry was dillydallying to release the amount and settle the dues.

Strongly opposing the outsourcing by the Indian Railways, Sharma urged the Centre to fill all 1.7 lakh vacant posts in the railways this year itself. He also demanded that all the ‘D’ Group posts must be reserved for the locals and 50 per cent reservation must be given to local candidates .
