Action against misuse of beacon lights

 A release on Tuesday said only VIPs, VVIPs and senior officials, designated by the respective Central and State governments are authorised to use the light atop their vehicles.

“The issue was even discussed in the ‘Privileges Committee’ of the government. We have instructed all RTOs and ARTOs to book such vehicles found using the light. Checks will be conducted in association with traffic authorities.”
