Zen Mobile launches phone with big screen

"Till date, a first time user in entry level market had to be content with a small screen and a few multimedia features that he can enjoy on his handset for a couple of hours on a single charge," said Deepesh Gupta, managing director, Zen Mobile in a statement.

"We aim to change it all with the launch of X414 as it offers the Biggest screen of 2.4 inches in this category," Gupta said. Along with this feature, Zen X414 has multimedia features such as mp3 and mp4 player, FM radio with recording, a powerful torch and a battery back-up of 40 days on stand-by mode.

The Zen X414 is a GPRS and WAP enabled handset, which makes web browsing and downloading of content easier and faster for users. In addition, the handset also comes with a USB connector that lets you connect to your computer for seamless transfer of data and files.

The X414 is designed from the feedback, which Zen Mobile has garnered from its extensive distribution reach of more than 25,000 retail touch points across India, and encompasses all the features that a first-time handset user aspires to have in his first phone, the statement said.

The 'consumer connect' program of Zen Mobile revealed that a customer making his first ever mobile handset purchase craves for a cinema experience from his phone, in addition to the basic connectivity.

Translating this feedback into reality, Zen Mobile started working with its in-house design in collaboration with its research and development technology arm, and introduced the Zen X414.
