Mumbai, Pusan film festivals sign co-operation agreement

At the ongoing Berlin Film Festival, Srinivasan Narayanan, Festival Director of Mumbai Film Festival and and Lee Yong-Kwan, Pusan's Festival Director, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen artistic, financial and educational exchanges between the two festivals, a statement issued by Mumbai Film Festival said here today.

Mumbai Film Festival, organised by Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) is a Reliance Entertainment Ltd. initiative which is the flagship media and entertainment arm of India's Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

The Pusan International Film Festival is widely regarded as Asia's most important and influential film event; its 16th edition is scheduled from October 6-14, with its Asian Film Market to be held between October 10 and 13.

Mumbai festival overlaps Pusan Festival this year as the dates of its 13th edition announced recently are October 13-20.
