Action has been taken agains Durga based on the directions of IGP (Southern Range) A S N Moorthi. The sub inspector had refused to register the complaint filed by the watchman of the Gaddige, when miscreants attempted to damage it on January 19.
Following this, action has been taken against the officer. Instead of registering the case, a letter was sent to the Archaeological Survey of India asking the authorities to appoint more security personnel at Gaddige.
Durga was also facing charge of delaying the submission of a document to the High Court in connection with the vacation of shop belong to the City Municipality. The HC had condemned the act and the IGP took note of the incident too.
