<p>Over 25,000 students of Class VIII had appeared from Karnataka for this prestigious scholarship examination conducted by the Department of Science, Education, Research and Technology (DSERT).<br /><br />These 242 students will now represent Karnataka in the National Round to be conducted by the NCERT. The selected students will be entitled for an annual scholarship and various educational camps at the Indian Institute of Science and other leading institutes.<br /><br />Of the selected students, 147 are from Bangalore. Among the City students, 79 are from <br />Ace Creative Learning, an institute guiding and training students for various competitive examinations. <br /><br />While the top rank in the first round went to Alaekhya Reddy K, the second rank was grabbed by Adityanarayan R The third rank went to Mitali Seth. Pranav S R, Vikram Nitin, and Anushree Hegde shared the fourth rank, Oindrila Chakraborty and Aishwarya Sasei shared the fifth rank and Samvida S V, Adarsh Salagame, Akhil U, Nagarjuna K and Rohini D V shared the sixth.</p>
