Vultures champions

Batting first, Karun Nair (89 runs, 111b, 11x4) and KL Rahul (87 runs, 101b, 8x4, 2x6) joined hands in the middle to power Vultures to a formidable 290 for seven in the allotted 50 overs.

Sunil Kumar DH and Sanjay Kumar picked up two wickets each for Jawahar SC but it was far from enough to contain Vultures to a modest total. In reply, CB Karthik (37) and Naresh Reddy (25) were the sole major contributors in Jawahar’s chase but with Nair (3/43) and SK Moinuddin (4/32) on a wrecking mission, it was hardly enough to take their team through for the crown. Jawahar folded up for 168 off 32.1 overs.
