About 18 colleges from across the City participated in various events during the fest.

The fest had events such as data mining, IT manager, SUDOKU, treasure hunt, circuit analysis, coding, product launch, web-designing, and IT- Quiz. The events were designed to bring out the best in students in terms of their aptitude and business acumen. Talking after inaugurating the fest Somanath Bagavatula, Head, HR Department, ATKINS stressed the need for young people to be receptive to advanced technological developments. He called upon the students to develop an unfailing belief in their career and work hard to achieve success in the same.

The fest also had an exhibition titled Galaxia’, which had a collection of 40 exhibits from different streams like Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, and Statistics.
The various projects the students had worked on demonstrated how science could provide solutions to real life problems. Some of the topics that could easily relate to reality were intelligent railway signaling systems and the usage of probability theories in effective decision making. The students also did well to explore the possibility of using electronics in developing optical line sensing robots for the industrial use and the permanent mathematical ratio that one finds in symmetry. The exhibition also had an array of computer games developed by the students.

However, the students who had a scientific bent of mind seemed to have made the best of the fest. Arundhati Rao, a science student from Christ College who participated in almost all the events said, “The fest gave us a practical insight into the theoretical aspects that we learn in classrooms. The computer games developed by the students were of special interest. It shows how the mind can be tuned to think scientifically.”

The CMR Institute of Management and Science College was the overall champion in the event.
