'DK must have Task Force'


District Administration bid a formal farewell to the NDRF personnel on Friday, who were in the district for last four days demonstrating rescue operations during distress situations.

Accepting the farewell, Ranmung said that every region has its own specific problems and in such case, Task Force specialised to respond at any situation is a must.

In-charge Deputy Commissioner Prabhakar Sharma said that the NDRF demonstrations has certainly boosted the motivation and confidence level of the Home Guards, Fire personnel and the police who joined hands with them. Chief Fire Officer Varadaraj said that it was a good learning experience for his team and they are now prepared to act as first aid during the situations of distress. Assistant Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatte were present.
