The meeting comes at a time when Chief B S Yeddyurappa and some of his close Cabinet colleagues are on an official three-day visit to New Delhi.

The meeting, held a the residence of former Minister Aravind Limbavali at New Thippasandra, was attended by Eshwarappa, BJP National General Secretary H N Ananth Kumar, Home Minister R Ashoka and Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Jagadish Shettar, sources said.

The dissidents’ camp had decided to lie low following an assurance by the BJP central leadership that their demands would be looked into at an “appropriate time.” Rebels, however, decided to meet after getting an inkling that Yeddyurappa was going to complain about their activities to the central leaders during his New Delhi visit.
