After Kareena Kapoor walked out of the film, co-producer UTV has asked the director to tone down the intimate scenes for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been approached for the film.

Heroine is based on the life of Hollywood stunner Marilyn Monroe. The story revolves around a talented actress who becomes the dupe of her own success. When Madhur’s first choice, Kareena, opted out because she was uncomfortable with the intimate  scenes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was approached to play the lead. Sources say the film-maker has had a meeting with Aishwarya. However, rumours suggest that the two met only after he had reworked the script to suit her sensibilities. But according to a source close to the director, Heroine is a very special movie for Madhur, and he will not compromise on its content for any actor. Aishwarya’s publicist has confirmed the meeting between Madhur and Ash but refused to divulge any more information regarding the same. Though nothing has been finalised yet, looks like Madhur’s perseverance will pay off and the film will see the light of the day.
