Authorities are making arrangements for the buses at Wagah, the only land border crossing between Pakistan and India, for those Pakistani cricket fans who wish to travel to India.
Sources said the buses, which are expected to ply between Wagah-Chandigarh and Wagah-Amritsar routes, may be operationalized from Monday onwards.

India has issued visa to 5,000 Pakistanis to facilitate their visit to watch the World Cup cricket matches, including the final in Mumbai.

The visas were issued after due security checks by the immigration and various security agencies of each of the Pakistani national who applied for the travel document to watch the quarter finals, semi finals and the final to be held in different venues in India.
However, sources said, in the wake of India-Pakistan clash in semi-final, there is no possibility of issuing fresh visa to any Pakistani fan as anyone wishing to apply for the travel document will have to undergo the normal application procedure which will take at least a month.

Besides, tickets were sold long ago and no visa application will be entertained without a copy of the ticket.
