The entrance fee last year was Rs 130. This year Bangalore University had hiked it to Rs 209. To take up a subject one has failed, Rs 170 additional fee has been imposed.
Badly affected
The poor students will be badly affected by this move, the agitators expressed their displeasure.
Earlier for all the subjects the examination fee was Rs 130 for ST students and for others it was Rs 270. But this year fees is being collected subject wise, they said.
The students demanded that the university should immediately withdraw the hike in fee. Meenakshi, Chinnappa, Narayanswamy, Ambarish, Manjula, Harish, Reddappa and Manoj led the protest.
