<p>After Kareena Kapoor’s nickname Bebo was used as a part of a song in her latest film <em>Kambakkht Ishq</em>, there’s another Bebo on the block. This time around, it is actress Lara Dutta in her brand new film<em> Do Knot Disturb</em>, where Riteish Deshmukh addresses her as Bebo in the song <em>What A Bebo</em>. But, wait a minute! There is a twist. This song has no connection to Kareena Kapoor and her nickname. <br /><br />Director David Dhawan says, “This song has no relevance to Kareena’s name being Bebo.”<br /><br /> So why exactly did lyricist Sameer, music directors Nadeem-Shravan, director David Dhawan and actor Riteish Deshmukh come up with an idea of using the word Bebo? Is Bebo the new favourite element for a hit song? “Bebo is basically a Punjabi word which is often used in a romantic context to compliment a girl, especially on her looks, as is used in the song <em>What A Bebo</em> in <em>Do Knot Disturb</em> where Riteish is complimenting Lara by addressing her as Bebo,” explains David Dhawan. At a recently concluded awards function abroad, Riteish Deshmukh and Govinda even performed to the same song. But in this case, Govinda was surely not Riteish’s Bebo.</p>
