Recently, the commissioner, Department of Social Welfare had written to the deputy commissioner to book a criminal case against Sitaramappa for allegedly misusing the funds. On the basis of the letter, the DC had directed the CEO of zilla panchayat to go ahead with filing the criminal case against the district social welfare officer.<br /><br />Transferred<br /><br />Meanwhile, in another case, planning officer of Zilla Panchayat, M R Balakrishna has been relieved from duty and transferred to Chikkaballapura on March 31 for ‘dereliction of duty’. The DC said the officer had failed to give convincing replies to the questions of MP and legislators during the previous meeting. Balakrishna had not furnished details despite repeated instructions from the DC.<br /><br />In the wake of this, a report was submitted to the government seeking action against him. Based on the report, the government issued an order transferring Balakrishna to Chikkaballapur.<br /></p>
