Just Go With It

This romcom has forty-plus plastic surgeon Danny (Sandler) and his assistant Katherine (Aniston) playing a fake couple to prove to the former’s girlfriend Parker (Decker) that he is indeed a hapless man about to get divorce from his terrible wife. Danny, since his failed attempted marriage, develops a trick to bed women by pretending to be a man with bad wife. Women fall prey to his charm until Parker, a 23-year-old beauty, who he thinks is the woman to settle down with.

However, Parker has doubts about his wedding ring. So, he convinces Katherine and her two kids to play his wife and children for a short time which leads to one thing and another bringing the entire gang to Hawaii where the drama unfolds. Just Go With It is funny despite many lackluster moments. Still all the stars including Nicole Kidman do not shine thanks to the meandering plot and lack of strong characters? As for Aniston, it marks another film where she is just herself and not her character. With sluggish dialogues, predictable plot and realistic emotions, you have dosages of laughable moments. Knowing fully well this is not Sandler’s best movie, you’ll still want to see Decker’s hot charity show.
