Autocross from today

Round one of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India-approved championship, for both cars and bikes, will be held at the Al-Ameen Residential School grounds in Hoskote starting from Friday.

The practice session for bikes will be held on Friday while the race will be conducted on Saturday. The cars will practice on the 1km circuit after the two-wheeler event on Saturday and race will be on Sunday. Winner of the two-wheeler open event will take home Rs 6000 while the winning driver in the open category will bag Rs 9000. Drivers will be awarded points -- 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 -- for their efforts in the championship. The second and third rounds of the event will be held in August and November respectively.

Categories: Two-wheelers: Gearless, Four-stroke, Indian open, Indian expert, Bangalore boys, Unrestricted.

Four-wheelers: Upto 800cc, 801 to 1100cc, 1101 to 1400cc, 1401 to 1600cc, 1600 and above, RSC class, Novice, Diesal class, Indian open, Unrestricted, Ladies and Bangalore boys.
