JOIN USBharath Swabhiman Trust and Pathanjali Yoga Samiti organised a free yoga camp on Friday at Gundurao extension maidan in Kushalnagar and as expected, thousands of people came to the venue from different parts of the district, just to get glimpses of renowned Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev.
The Guru seated on an elevated platform taught Pranayama and Yogasana to the people. Throughout the session, he explained the benefits and importance of Yoga in his own style and dialect.
Baba Ramdev along with the Yoga sessions called upon the people to take up the challenge of fighting against corruption and support the concept of ‘Bharath Swabhiman’.
“Building disease-free and corruption free India is the main aim of ‘Bharath Swabhiman’. To make this movement a success, each and every Indian needs to join hand,” he said and added that Yoga is a great medium to build healthy and disease-free country.Baba was accompanied by Arameri Math seer Shanthamallikarjuna Swamiji, Ponnampet Ramakrishnashrama seer Bhodha Swaroopananda Swamiji and others.
Madikeri MLA M P Appachu Ranjan, ZP member B B Bharatesh, Town Panchayat Member N N Shambhulingappa and others too participated in the camp.
Swabhiman Trust State Chief Pradeep, District President N N Ayyappa, Taluk head G L Nagaraj, Camp Co-ordinator B Amruthraj among others were present.
Later, a free health check up camp was organised by Pathanjali Yoga Samiti practitioners at Government Pre University College. After attending a meet of Pathanjali Yoga Camp volunteers in the city, Baba proceeded to Madikeri.The yoga camp which was conducted from 5 am to 7.30 am was telecast live on ‘Asthaa’ channel.
