Capsicum crop destroyed

Heavy rain accompanied by gale force winds caused extensive damage in villages in the area.

In a field at Chikkanahalli, capsicum crop was completely destroyed, with over a hundred stone pillars being uprooted and shade net covering the field torn to shreds.

Many trees were uprooted and fell on electricity cables, disrupting power supply.
