If that pathetic plea stares out of an answer script, many others contain stories and unsolicited suggestions.

The juvenile writing may give the impression that it is the work of children, but the answer scripts are of students who appeared for PU II annual examination conducted in March.

Evaluators who boycotted valuation work for four days in support of their demands over salary disparity pending with the government, are now facing bouncers in the form of outlandish answers and lucrative offers from students seeking to get through the examination.

Evaluation of socialogy, political science, economics and Kannada subject answer books is in progress at different evaluation centres in the city.

While students who prepared for the subjects have been faithful to the syllabus, many others have opted to write stuff that is beyond the worst nightmares of evaluators.

An evaluator, who wished to remain anonymous, said a candidate for the economics paper, after writing answers that had no relation to the subject, had mentioned his cellphone number with a request to the evaluator to pass him and offered to pay the evaluator the amount demanded for the work.

‘Don’t hesitate, pass me’

“Do not hesitate, pass me in this subject and I will meet your requirement”, was the message from the student.

“In my 15 years of evaluation, I never came across such an incident,” the shocked evaluator told Deccan Herald.

Another evaluator said that a student appearing for economics paper philosophised expansively on the education system and made several suggestions for improvement.

A student appearing for political science paper commented pithily on the current political shenanigans in the State.

With challenge revaluation system in place and students getting copy of their answer paper, it has become mandatory for teachers to read every page during valuation.

“Students opting for unusual ways of answering in the examinations have made our task much more difficult,” an evaluator said.
