Axis beefs up its focus on India

The company launched a range of latest IP based surveillance cameras and video encoders to address the growing needs of physical security solutions in Indian market.

“Increased awareness of the need to secure human lives and assets is a key growth driver. IP based surveillance is emerging as viable option offering the advantage of easy installation and integration, scalabiltiy and lower cost of ownership,” said Axis Country Manager Prakash Prabhu.

Axis has customers from various verticals — Hyderabad international airport, city surveillance project in Kolkata, BMTC in Bangalore (for Shivaji Nagar Bus Terminus ). Axis operates from three locations — Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi. It plans to provide surveillance as service for individual consumers through various service providers worldwide. The pilot project for this has been launched in USA on a test basis.
