JOIN USCongress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said, “It is well known to the world that what happened in Gujarat in 2002 were not riots, rather it was state sponsored pogrom” and that “it is no dark secret that BJP government was squarely involved” in post-Godhra communal riots.
He also said that top leadership of BJP has lost morality, who has brazenly supported Modi.“If BJP had an iota of morality then it would have asked Modi to resign in its June 2002 national executive meeting in Goa," said Tiwari adding that the party should have subjected Modi to the rigours of judicial process. Tiwari further said that those who have showered praise on Narendra Modi “should read the affidavit and ponder what would they like to say to the kin of those slaughtered .
