'Yeddyurappa will be arrested'

Last Updated 26 April 2011, 16:42 IST

Addressing a press meet here, he said “there are documentary evidences against Yeddyurappa. With the evidences, no advocate can protect Yeddyurappa in the court of law. As a Chief Minister, he had asked his son to file false affidavit before the election commission.”

He congratulated the Central Bureau of Investigation for arresting Commonwealth Games 2010 Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi and filing charge sheet against Kanimozhi. All those who were involved in 2G Spectrum scam should be arrested, he added.
Poojary said “the BJP Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha had been staging protest against the scams of the Union government. However, it has not raised its voice against the corruption charges levelled against Yeddyurappa.”

“There is a need to cleanse the BJP in the state. The Congress is cleansing itself by initiating action against those who are involved in scams. Before preaching good things, one should become model for others,” he said.

Unfit President

Stating that the BJP National President Nithin Gadkari is unfit to become the National president of the BJP as he has failed to initiate action against Yeddyurappa for his misdeeds, Poojary said the Indian National Congress is taking action against all those who have been involved in corruption.

Poojary said that he will support Kerala State government sponsored protest against endosulfan.
