Atwal aces 15th to remain in the hunt

The Orlando-based Indian blasted three successive birdies between the third and fifth hole, apart from the hole-in-one in the 15th to bounce back after a disappointing first round card of three-over 75.

American Jerry Kelly, who was four-under with three holes to go after the second day, was leading the peck with 11-under 119.

The Indian challenge at the European Tour’s SAS Masters golf tournament came to an abrupt end after both Jyoti Randhawa (77) and SSP Chowrasia (72) missed the halfway cut in Malmo, Sweden adds PTI.

While Randhawa stuttered to a four-over 77, Chowrasia was only slightly better with a one-under 72 in the second round.

Argentine Ricardo Gonzalez fired a five-under 68 to grab the lead with a total of 10-under 136. Lee Slattery turned in a three-under 70 to be placed second on the leader-board with a total of nine-under.

Bhullar leads

Gaganjeet Bhullar fired a sensational 10-under 62 to grab a two-stroke lead in the weather-hit third round of the Indonesia President Invitational golf tournament in Jakarta on Saturday.

The 21-year-old had a three-day total of 17-under 199.
Amandeep Johl held on to the tied 26th spot after carding a third successive 70 that left him six-under overall. Rahil Gangjee was tied 43rd spot after being three-under at the 15th hole.
