RCA-Warne battle intensifies

RCA secretary Sanjay Dixit, who had alleged that Warne had insulted him after the IPL match on Wednesday, wrote on his Twitter page that the meeting will also discuss Rajasthan Royals’ claim that the IPL side always got the wickets it wanted.

“A meeting of the RCA Legal Affairs Committee has been convened on Sunday, 15th May to consider the criminal complaint against Shane Warne for publicly insulting Hony Secretary of RCA, Mr. Sanjay Dixit,” he tweeted.

“Investigation to corroborate Rajasthan Royals’ claim that they always got the wickets they wanted and had them prepared their way and necessary action thereon,” he added.

The meeting will also discuss whether to file a criminal complaint against former Australia batsman Dean Jones for making “insulting remarks” against the association on a television channel.
