55 schools register 100 pc results in SSLC in DK dist

A total of 55 schools have secured cent per cent results in SSLC examination in Dakshina Kannada district.

This include nine government high schools in the district. Last year, as many as 41 schools had secured cent per cent results. Mangalore city has secured 88.29 pass percentage and tops the district.

Mangalore city

As many as six schools in Mangalore city block limits have secured cent per cent results. They are: Adarsha Bharathi High School, Padil; St Joseph’s School, Kulshekar; Nobel English Medium School, Kunjathbail; B M English Medium School, Car Street; BGS High School, Kavoor; and Bearys High School.

A total of 5,212 students had appeared for the examination. Of which, 4,620 students have passed.

Neha Rao of Canara High School, Urwa and Harsha Bhat, Canara High School Main, have scored 615/625 marks.

Mangalore taluk

In Mangalore taluk, as many as 12 schools have secured cent per cent results and the total pass percentage is 78.63.

The schools are: Government High School, Chitrapu; Government High School, Kalladi; Government High School, Konaje Padavu; Karinjeshwara English Medium School, Surathkal; Vishwamangala English Medium School, Konaje; Our Lady School, Kaikamba; Ansar High School, Bajpe; Raj Academy, Ganjimutt; Sahara English mEdium School, Adoor; Holy Family English Medium School, Surathkal; PSI English Medium School, Koornadu; and Rosa Mistika School, Kinnikambala.

As many as 5,653 students had appeared for the examination. Of which, 4,445 have passed. Shraddha of NITK School is the topper in the taluk with 613 marks.

Bantwal taluk

As many as 11 schools have scored cent per cent results in Bantwal taluk with three government schools excelling. They are—Government High School, Soorya; Kadeshwalya High School; Morarji Desai Residential  School; Gurudeva High School, Odiyur; SVS High School, Thumbay High School; Jycee High School, Vittal; Infant Jesus High School, Madankaup; SLMP High School, Panemangalur; Bala Vikasa High School, Mani; and St John’s English Medium School, Allipade.

The total pass percentage of the taluk is 80 per ent.

Puttur taluk

Eight schools have secured cent per cent results in Puttur taluk and the total pass percentage is 84. The schools which secured cent per cent are: Indraprastha High School, Uppinangady; Knanaya Jyothi English Medium School, Kadaba; Jnanodaya Bethany English Medium School, Nellyadi; Pragathi English Medium School, Kaniyur; Mar Ivanios High School, Kunthooru; Vidya Rashmi English Medium School, Savanoor; Sandeepani English Medium School, Narimogaru; and St George High School, Nellyadi.

Reshma Parvathi of Vivekananda English Medium SChool has topped the taluk by scoring 619 marks.

A total of 4,639 students had appeared for the examination and 3,899 have passed.

Sullia taluk

In Sullia taluk, as many as eight schools have secured cent per cent results including one government high school. They are—Government High School, Markanja; Jnana Ganga High School, Bellare; Sneha High School, Parvivarakana, Sullia; Rotary High School; Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai High School, Chokkadi; Mahathma Gandhi Malnad High School, Sullia; Saverapura High School; Kumaraswamy High School, Subrahmanya.

The pass per centage is 82.71. The topper of the taluk is Gautham Bhat of Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai High School with 609 marks.

A total of 2,082 students had appeared for the examination. Of which, 1,722 have passed.

Moodbidri

In Moodbidri block limits, as many as four schools have secured cent per cent results. They are—Adarsha High School, Taccode; Rotary English Medium School, Jyothinagara; Alva’s High School and Mohamadeeya English Medium High School, Kotebagilu. The total pass percentage is 86. Anujna (619) of Rotary English Medium School and Rajesh Venkanna Nayak (605) are the toppers in English and Kannada medium schools respectively.

As many as 1,463 students had appeared for the examination. Of which, 1,260 have passed.

Belthangady

As many as six schools have secured cent per cent results in Belthangady taluk. The pass percentage is 87.4 per cent. They are—Government High School, Kalmanja; Morarji Desai Residential School, Macchina; Sacred Heart High School, Madanthyar; Saraswathi High School, Mundaje; Kumbhashri High School, Venoor and Rahmaniya High School, Kajoor.
